Benadryl Products

Benadryl offers a large selection of allergy treatment products. At Illinois Supply we believe Bendryl is an important product, especially for non-anaphylactic, but very uncomfortable and unsettling allergic symptoms. However, in an anaphylaxis emergency you would give Benadryl after and along with an Epinephrine auto-injector or if you do not have an Epinephrine auto-injector you would give Benadryl to buy you time until EMT/paramedics to administer Epinephrine. Since this was an important factor in saving my own daughter's life, I continue to emphasize that in an emergency where you do not have an epinephrine auto-injector, Benadryl is better than nothing -- and Benadryl in addition to Epinephrine (and possibly a steroid when they get to the emergency room) can be a part of the effort to get a reaction under control. Opinions on this vary widely, but we continue to be very concerned about how allergies are handled in non-optimal situations, particularly when no epinephrine auto-injector is available.
